Day 1 recap provided by Charles Walker, LiveList’s Head of Content
The joy of Coachella having a live stream makes catching your favorite sets from anywhere you are, without having to be in the desert, incredibly easy. That made tuning in on day one from a variety of locations a no-brainer. I have Coachella in my pocket for the weekend!
The day started out with Mavis Staples as I watched from the office TV thanks to Chromecast. The quality of the live stream production is arguably the best I’ve ever seen. Then I took it on the road and listened to Robert DeLong welcome Kamasi Washington during his set. Caught that through the LiveList app as I endured the Friday evening commute. A quick channel change and I was throwing my hands up with Joey Bada$$.
Kanye crashed a couple sets thinking he stole the show(s), Ellie Goulding was stunning as usual, but the night belonged to LCD Soundsystem as they had the entire crowd in the palm of their hand. They were ready, and David Murphy and co put their music on full display.
It was glorious!
Add the Coachella channel to your LiveList and watch Coachella streaming live starting Friday, April 15 at 3:30pm PDT
