The dynamic Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, led by Gustavo Dudamel, opens Carnegie Hall’s 2016-17 season streaming live via medici.tv, with a program featuring Ravel’s La Valse, Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du printemps, and a selection of dances from around the world. Internationally renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel currently serves as Music Director of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela (SBSOV). The members of this orchestra have been trained under Venezuela’s unique system of music education: El Sistema’s orchestral academic program. This program takes children from barrios of Caracas to the world’s finest concert halls, changing the lives of hundreds of thousands.

Hailing from San Francisco, California, he is known as ISO50 for his photographic and design works. Tycho’s compelling ambient electronic instrumental compositions are simultaneously meditative and danceable. KCRW and Morning Becomes Eclectic welcomes a full band for the live radio debut of songs from the band’s new album, with streaming provided courtesy of VuHaus.
