Makaya McCraven: Live from The Jazz Cafe

November 11 | 11:45am Pacific

Boiler Room

Boiler Room is taking to The Jazz Cafe in London to live stream the performance of Makaya McCraven; one of the most exciting, genre-bending talents in the jazz world. The Chicago-bred drummer-slash-producer pushes the boundaries of sound and rhythm, merging his experiences from hip-hop bands, African dance bands, Hungarian folk music, and indie rock on top of a deep history of “straight ahead” jazz, improvisation, and the avant-garde with beats and sampling. Having opened for the likes of Wu-Tang Clan and Digable Planets, his influence from hip-hop is unmistakeable, as is his fierce love for jazz. Don’t miss this very intimate Boiler Room session coming to you live and direct from London.
