Lucas Debargue plays Schubert and his own Piano Trio – With Alexandre and David Castro-Balbi

Rising star of the French piano world Lucas Debargue presents a recital at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in celebration of his soon-to-be released new album. He performs solo works by Schubert as well as one of his own compositions.  In 2015, Lucas Debargue finished fourth at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition and walked away with the prestigious Moscow Music Critics Association Prize. His talents have since shot him to the top of the classical music scene.  As part of the series Lucas Debargue in the spotlight, webcasts live Debargue’s recital at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. The young pianist performs two solo sonatas by Schubert before presenting his own composition, a Piano Trio, with the help of his friends and colleagues cellist Alexandre and violinist David Castro-Balbi. The performance will be preceded by a preview screening of Martin Mirabel’s new documentary, Lucas Debargue: To Music, which explores the young artist’s life during the year that followed his successes at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition.
