Kentucky-born musician Chris Stapleton is one of Nashville’s most respected and beloved musicians. Since releasing his now double Platinum debut solo album Traveller in 2015, Stapleton has received multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM Awards and remains one of the most critically praised musicians of his time. His sophomore follow up, From A Room: Volume 1, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart upon its release and, with it’s Gold certification, remains the strongest-selling country album of 2017. Rolling Stone calls the album “strikingly focused, sonically and thematically” while The New York Times praises, “Like Traveller, From A Room is earthen, rich with tradition, has a tactile intensity and is carefully measured.” A second album, From A Room: Volume 2, will be released later this year.

Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie rock band, a musical collective including as few as six and as many as nineteen members, formed in 1999 by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. Most of its members currently play in various other groups and solo projects, mainly in the city of Toronto. The band refuses the label “supergroup”, based on size or the ubiquity of their members, claiming that in the indie scene everyone is involved in more than one project. The group’s sound could be considered a combination of all of its members’ respective musical projects, and is occasionally considered baroque pop. It is characterized by a very large number of sounds, grand orchestrations featuring guitars, horns, woodwinds, and violins, unusual song structures, and an experimental, and sometimes chaotic production style from David Newfeld, who produced the second and third albums.

Hulaween, Silver Wrapper, Purple Hat, and The String Cheese Incident have aligned their resources to produce a charity driven Pay Per View stream of SCI live from the festival. By purchasing the webcast, fans are donating to support hurricane victims in Puerto Rico and Florida and can enjoy three sets of the scene-leading act from the sold out show streamed live to their couch on Saturday, October 28th. The sets will include the band’s much anticipated night closing foray into the festival’s ‘Night of the Loving Dead’ theme with musical selections inspired by the feeling and principles of love. Every dollar donated through the The String Cheese Incident live stream will be thoughtfully split between those in Hulaween’s host state of Florida who were affected by Hurricane Irma plus a fund started by Silver Wrapper for Puerto Rico. For five years this movement shaping event has offered its loyal followers a doorway into a visionary paradise, a channel into a reality defined by boundless surprises and exploration.
