Nick Shattuck

January 30 | 6:00 PM Pacific

Scenes Facebook Live / Studio 637

Born and raised near the muddy banks of Western Wisconsin’s Mississippi River, Nick Shattuck adapted a bare bones, blues-influenced honesty in his songwriting from the beginning. Relocating to Southern California from La Crosse, WI, with a bag full of indie folk songs and a gravely voice that liken him to a pleasant combination of Ray LaMontagne and John Mayer, Nick has quickly made a name for himself in the cut throat singer/songwriter community of L.A.  Catch him perform ‘Sorry for the Weather’ live on Scenes Facebook page, from Studio 637 in Hermosa Beach, CA.

Billy Strings Live from Penn’s Peak

January 31 | 6:00 PM Pacific

Mixlr (Billy Streams)

Billy Strings plays hard and he lives hard, picking so fast and intensely that he’s known to break multiple strings per song, and basing the songs he writes on the hard lives he grew up around in the abandoned rural communities of America. He definitely taps into a deep vein of psychedelia in Americana, referencing everything from the Dead to Sturgill Simpson, but all underlaid by Billy’s undeniable virtuosity and his knowledge of the roots of American music. He’s one of the most beloved young bluegrass guitarists today within the bluegrass community, and his front porch in East Nashville is constantly filled up with Nashville’s best roots musicians just picking up a storm. If you can’t make it to a Billy Strings show, just know that he and his team are streaming every tour stop!
